The Old Curiosity Shop

Young, sweet Nell’s life is thrown into disarray when her grandfather's debts catch up with him. When moneylender Daniel Quilp, takes over their shop to repay the debt, Nell and her grandfather are forced to escape to find another life. This 1841 exercise in pathos and villainy defines "Dickensian" in all its fascinatingly repulsive excess.
